HBTC members recently enjoyed a 'Goulash' tournament where they played with pot luck partners. The tournament was won by Caitriona and the photo shows some of the players and the runners-up displaying their HBTC pens!

HBTC Adult Tennis Player Open Afternoon

Open to all-comers!

Helen's Bay Tennis Club is holding an Open Afternoon for adult players on Saturday 13 April from 2-4pm. There will be the opportunity to mix in with club players and have a chat over a cup of tea later. We look forward to meeting potential new members but if you can't make it on the 13th you would also be most welcome to come along on any other Saturday afternoon - come and introduce yourselves!

Family wins it back again!

The photo shows the finalists in the Family Trophy tournament. Richard and Cameron vs Michael and Dylan played a very close and entertaining match in a replay of two previous tournament finals. Both sets of supporters were on the edges of their seats at 1 set all and it was one of those matches where a draw would have been nice. However the concluding champions tie-break resulted in a great win for Richard and Cameron who won back the trophy from last years winners Michael and Dylan. Congratulations to all on a great game.

Winter Wonders at the Double!

Helen's Bay Men's Doubles Champions
Stephen Leach and Rogan Mackenzie were the worthy winners of the Winter Men's Doubles competition. There was a small but very competitive entry which resulted in some close three set matches at all stages before Stephen and Rogan were able to lift the trophy.

HBTC on the 'Lash!

Helen's Bay held their first Goulash Tournament on a warm summer Saturday. Nineteen club members (some of whom are pictured above) took part in this mix-in afternoon which was designed to get people playing with a number of different partners over 4 or 5 games. Everyone enjoyed it and the tea afterwards. Our high tech blackboard recorded the scores and following complicated mathematical calculations trophies were awarded to the winner, Jack, and runner-up Robin.
